Students were introduced to the Aztec culture through a power point and video. We watched part of the History Channel episode, "Engineering an Empire - The Aztecs" and we stopped several times for students to record new things they were learning about the Aztecs and then pairing up that information with which worldview element it fit in to. Students had great conversations and asked many questions about this culture.
Tomorrow we will watch the next 15minutes of the video and move on to some Reading Comprehension strategies using information about the Aztecs.
